How to download flight logs from the Discovery to send into support for flight analysis.
We will download the flight logs when we are submitting the flight for review to SmartDrone Maintenance and Repairs Department
Step 1:
Remove the Discovery from its case and attach the legs so you can set it on a stable surface near your computer
Use the provided Herelink Charging cable to insert into the Discovery USB port in the battery bay
Plug the usb end into you computer and launch QGroundControl
To find the drones usb plug, look for the small slot on the top of the right battery compartment. make sure the small prongs on the microUSB face into the drone.
Step 2:
Wait for QGC to connect to the drone and download parameters
You will see "Upload Required" at the top right corner of the screen when connected
Step 3:
Select the Log icon in the top bar
Click "Refresh" on the right side of the screen
Step 4:
Select the logs you need to download by holding ctrl and selecting the filenames
Click "Download"
Specify the location for your logs if prompted
Step 5:
Wait for all the logs to download
This download may be slow as it is pulling directly from the flight controller's black box
Step 6:
When downloaded, you can find the logs in the location you specified or in "Documents" > "QGroundControl" > "Logs"
Step 7:
Highlight all of the .bin files then zip them into one file
Once Completed Download please include the logs in the ticket or send them directly to your representative.
