About the Battery Charger

You can charge two batteries within about 1 hour with this charger. See the diagram describing the charger ports and buttonsPicture3-1

Charging

Batteries will need to be charged to 25.2V before flight.

Connect the Battery

  1. Lay the battery on its side with the balance cable closest to the charger
  2. Plug in the balance cable
  3. Plug in the power cable

Button Functions

The Channel Button is used to select which channel (battery) you would like to perform an operation on, press it to select ch1 or ch2

The Shuttle Key is used to navigate through menus and selections. Scroll to your selection, then press the shuttle key to select it

Standby Display

This is the screen you will see when there is no battery plugged in or if you have not yet selected the operation to perform

Set Charging Parameters 

  1. Click the shuttle key to bring up the settings
  2. Select Task = Charge (not balance)
  3. Cell Voltage = 4.2V [6 Cells x 4.2V = 25.2V Total battery voltage]
  4. Cell Count = 6S (6 cells in series)
  5. Current Setting = 7.0A (7 amps)

Stopping a Task

If you need to stop the task, press the shuttle key and scroll to "Stop", then press the shuttle key again to stop the charge operation

Screen During Charging

This is the screen you will see while a battery is charging

When the screen is yellow, the operation is still in progress

A green screen signifies that the task is complete

Storage Charging

Storage charging is actually a discharging operation. If your battery is over the acceptable limit for storage, and you want to stor it for more than 5 days, you will need to discharge it to a proper storage charge

Select the channel as before

Set parameters as follows:

  • Task: Storage
  • Type: LiPo
  • Cell Voltage: 3.8V (6 cells x 3.8V = 22.8V)
  • Cell Count: 6S
  • Current: 1A

When the battery is dropping in voltage, you will see a purple screen
