How to use SmartDrone CYAN

This goes over the steps of Installing and using SmartDrone's CYAN tool

What is CYAN

CYAN is an acronym for Cover Your Assignment Now and it provides a tool that lets the user check:

  • Flight paths collected on the map
  • KML of the area to compare flight paths against
  • The status of the lidar and whether it was collected correctly
  • A Base station check to compare against collection to make sure it was on during the entire collection

All with the goal that when you leave a jobsite you can be certain your collection is going to yield great results and to prevent returns to the jobsite.

We can also select the entire job directory to load in all the mission folders in the job directory

By selecting Process it will begin to analyze the lidar and the t04 file as the loading bar will show progress.

Once Complete the Lidar Status will change to green or red indicating whether the lidar file had issues during the collection as shown

If a mission has been already processed it will load the mission from the CYAN folder

The missions loaded path will also appear in the home page on the map as shown:

We can use this to ensure that the mission collected over the kml during the flights

After Day Page:

With all the missions loaded in the After Mission page we can use this page to upload our RINEX file and see whether our base station covered all the collection.

Start by setting the time zone you are currently in

Then Select the Base Station Rinex file and wait while it calculates the overlap

Once complete you will see an alert as shown below:
